2011 CFA Golf Classic

On Monday, September 26th, the CFA hosted our 15th annual golf classic at Black Creek Golf Club.  Over 120 patrons, sponsors, and guests came out in support of the CFA.  Twenty nine golf teams competed for the Tom Rhyne, Jr. Cup.   Lunch was provided by Jason's Deli, and On the List Catering & Events served an elegant dinner of beef tenderloin, shrimp scampi, and Peach Tea Chicken.

Josh Heath's team won the Championship Flight, and team members Richard Sprouse, Mike Roe, Tim McBrayer, and Johnathan Guthrie were awarded the championship cup.  2nd Place Championship Flight winners were the team from Thyssen Krupp Elevators.  Taking 1st in the 1st Flight was the team of Amerisource Bergen, and 2nd place winners were the team of Anthelio Health/Matherly.  Congratulations to all the winners!

Joining us in celebration of the CFA was Philip Mathews and his parents, Santhosh and Susan Mathews.  Eleven year old Philip stood in front of the crowd of supporters and told his story of having been born with craniofacial birth defects.  Following Philip's heartfelt story, Dr. Larry Sargent, his wife, Brenda, and daughter, Sterling, thanked Philip for his courage and inspiration.  Philip's journey with Dr. Sargent, the Tennessee Craniofacial Center  team, and the Craniofacial Foundation of America reminded everyone in attendance the importance of their support.
